Different backgrounds.
A shared future.

Helping you build your life in Germany

Moving to Germany brings opportunities—and plenty of questions. From healthcare and finances to finding a home and navigating unfamiliar processes, knowing where to turn can make all the difference.

Unconfuse is an independent network connecting you with specialists who can help. We start by understanding your situation, then introduce you to the people best suited to what you need.

WHY WE’RE HERE

A message from our founder

Matthias Wolf
Founder of Unconfuse
With Shelby.

“I started Unconfuse because I believe in an open, connected world—and a Germany where people from different countries and cultures can build a life and feel they belong.

I’m proud to be European. I believe a multicultural society makes us stronger through the experiences, ideas and perspectives we bring to one another. The growth of division and exclusion concerns me, and I want to make a practical contribution towards a more welcoming Germany.

I’ve spent many years living abroad, so I know how challenging it can be to find your feet in another country. Even coming back to Germany after 30 years was difficult. Familiar surroundings don’t necessarily make unfamiliar rules and paperwork easier—and Germany can make things particularly complicated.

Through many years working in insurance and supporting the expat community in Germany, I’ve helped people navigate those challenges. I’ve also built relationships with specialists who care about getting things right.

Unconfuse brings that experience and those people together. It is also my opportunity to give something back.

We’re not setting out to maximise every euro of profit. We want to make coming to Germany a little easier, and help make the country a little brighter, more colourful and more welcoming. Behind every question about healthcare, a mortgage or a residence permit is someone trying to build a future. I want us to help.”

HOW THE NETWORK WORKS

One conversation. The right connections.

You shouldn’t have to explain your whole situation to a succession of people before finding someone who can help.

We begin with a conversation about your circumstances, priorities and plans. With your permission, we introduce a suitable specialist and share the information needed for a useful introduction. Your chosen specialist explains their services, recommendations and fees. You decide whether to proceed.

Tell us what
you need

Whether you have one clear question or several things to organise, we’ll help you identify where to start.

Meet the right
specialist

We look for a match based on your needs, the specialist’s experience and their ability to work with your circumstances.

Build connections
that work together

Where several services are involved, our aim is to connect specialists who communicate well and understand your wider plans.

GIVING SOMETHING BACK

A network that shares its success

Our aim is to give something back to our clients across every service that generates income for the network. We’re working towards this step by step, using a substantial share of what we earn to fund practical benefits—starting with our relocation contribution.

Up to €500 towards
your relocation costs

Our first benefit is up to €500 per eligible person towards relocation services when qualifying healthcare or pension cover is arranged through the network.

We pay a participating relocation partner directly, up to your actual eligible costs. Support can begin immediately by agreement with the partner, while we settle the contribution later.

Full private health insurance, incoming expat cover, Basisrente/Rürup and private pension insurance qualify. The contribution is per person, rather than per policy.

More benefits as
the network grows

We want to make coming to Germany a little easier and help make the country brighter, more colourful and more welcoming. Sharing the success of the network is part of that purpose.

For investment property purchases, we’re exploring contributions towards costs such as notary or legal fees. Each new benefit will have its own clearly explained conditions.

This is where we’re starting. As the network grows, we intend to introduce further practical benefits for our clients.

Important: The contribution is provisional until the first premium is paid and Unconfuse receives its referral fee. If you cancel before both conditions are met, the relocation partner will invoice you for services already provided that would otherwise have been covered. Please read the benefit FAQs below.

EXPERIENCE AND TRUST

How we choose our partners

Unconfuse is a new network, but it is built on years of experience in the expat community. We’re starting with people we have worked with over many years—specialists whose approach we know and who have shown that they can work well together.

What we look for

Qualifications and permissions. We check the credentials and registrations required for the services provided.

International experience. We look for an understanding of the challenges of building a life in Germany.

Clear communication and cooperation. Partners should explain costs and next steps clearly and coordinate support.

Your feedback matters

We ask clients for feedback to understand what worked well, identify concerns and follow them up with partners.

We use those experiences to review the quality of the network and make informed decisions about our partner relationships.

Each partner remains responsible for their own advice and services. You should feel comfortable asking questions before proceeding.

PRACTICAL HELP

Useful information you can use yourself

Sometimes you need a specialist. Sometimes you simply need a clear explanation of what to do next.

We’re developing a practical advice website and YouTube channel covering everyday tasks such as registering your address, exchanging your driving licence and understanding the requirements for writing your own will.

Our aim is to explain unfamiliar processes in plain English, help you handle suitable tasks yourself and show you when professional support may be useful. Sharing what we’ve learned is another way we want to give something back.

OPEN AND HONEST

We’re growing—with a clear purpose

How Unconfuse is funded

We can receive a referral fee from a partner when an introduction leads to completed business. That income helps develop the network, create practical information and fund client benefits.

Our role is to understand what you need and make useful introductions. Advice and regulated services are provided by the relevant specialists. Any fees payable by you should be explained by the partner before you agree to proceed.

New network. Established experience.

We’re just getting started, but we’re not starting from nothing. Our foundation is years of experience, established relationships and an understanding of the challenges international clients face.

We cannot promise a solution for every situation. If we don’t have a suitable specialist, we’ll tell you. We commit to listening, making thoughtful connections and working to make life in Germany easier.

COMMON QUESTIONS

About Unconfuse and our relocation benefit

Who provides the advice?

Unconfuse helps you identify the support you need and connects you with suitable specialists. Your chosen partner provides professional advice and remains responsible for their services.

How do you choose partners?

We’re starting with specialists we have worked with over many years. We check relevant qualifications and permissions, look for clear communication and ask clients for feedback to help review the network.

How does Unconfuse earn money?

We can receive a referral fee when an introduction leads to completed business. That income supports the network, our practical information and the benefits we offer clients.

Why offer client benefits?

We want our clients to share in the success of the network. We use a substantial share of what we earn to fund practical benefits and help make building a life in Germany easier.

Which policies qualify?

Full private health insurance, incoming expat health insurance, Basisrente (also known as Rürup) and private pension insurance qualify when arranged through the Unconfuse network.

Can my family qualify too?

Yes. Each eligible person, including children with qualifying cover, can receive up to €500. Family contributions can cover a shared relocation bill, up to its actual eligible cost.

Is the benefit per policy?

No. The contribution is up to €500 per eligible person, regardless of how many qualifying policies they take out. The same person does not receive a second contribution for another policy.

Can support begin immediately?

Yes, by agreement with the participating relocation partner. They can provide support immediately and receive payment later. The contribution remains provisional until the first premium is paid and Unconfuse receives its referral fee.

What happens if I cancel?

If you cancel before both confirmation conditions are met, eligibility ends. The relocation partner will invoice you for services already provided that the contribution would otherwise have covered. A delayed referral fee alone does not trigger a client invoice.

How long can I use the benefit?

You have 12 months from your qualifying policy’s start date. You can use more than one eligible invoice until your contribution reaches €500. Unused amounts are not paid in cash.

Must relocation start with Unconfuse?

No. You may already be working with a participating relocation partner, or that partner may introduce you to us. Your qualifying insurance or pension must be arranged through the network.

Can earlier costs be considered?

Earlier relocation expenses may be considered by individual agreement with Unconfuse and the participating partner. This is a discretionary exception, rather than an automatic entitlement.

Relocation services are agreed with the participating partner. Each expense can only be covered once. After a contribution has been settled, we do not normally reclaim it from you because of a later policy cancellation. We cannot guarantee a suitable specialist for every request.

FIND YOUR NEXT STEP

Let’s make your next step easier.

You don’t need to have everything worked out before getting in touch. Tell us a little about yourself and what you need. We’ll arrange a conversation, understand your priorities and see where our network can help.
